I intend to do a whole series of "outside, looking in" paintings, but this is as far as I've gotten so far. This is a warm look into our bedroom.
Oil on canvas. 24" X 36".
Mary and Doug's House
I finally added to my Warm-lighted Window series. This painting is a compilation of several photos I took of Mary and Doug Edwards' foyer. My husband Jim stands fragmented by the beveled glass.
Oil on canvas. 36" x 36"
Shangri-La Cafe II
My first rendition of the Shangri-La Cafe was from a different angle (viewer move far right). I gave it to the cafe owners. This painting really went quickly and was a lot of fun. I may take it to the lake this summer and see if it sells there.
My family has been going to Shangri-La on Lake Ouachita (Hot Springs, AR) for over 40 years. Looking into the cafe at night, I was attracted to the warmth inside set against the cool darkness outside. (Think Edward Hopper, Night Hawks). Oil on canvas.
Deb Shed at Night
This is my much acclaimed "Deb Shed" that my kind husband had built for me. (My oldest stepson, Jamie, designed it and friends of his built it). I spend much of my retirement time working out here both day and night.
