Who doesn't like cupcakes? I set these on a stainless steel table in the late afternoon sun to get the long shadows. The way the reflections responded to the shadows was a surprise. Oil on canvas. 24" X 24".

Once I started this "Colorful Food" series , I had to include my favorite - ice cream. The cones soon started melting in the late-afternoon sun, and as I shot photos, one cone dropped. I decided I liked the asymmetry. Oil on canvas.
We keep Jelly Bellies in a cut-glass jar for our grandkids. I shot photos from many different angles, but decided on this table-top view with the candies coming at me. Oil on canvas.

I noticed how sunlight appeared shining through these amber bottles years ago. I once aspired to have a wall built out of them. I settled for two paintings and a piece of "yard art". Oil on canvas. About 18" X 24".

I was taken with the effect of sunlight on these bottles as they sat on our breakfast table. This was the first of two paintings of them I eventually did. Oil on canvas. 18" X 18".
This painting is for my "pioneer" sister, Cathy. She doesn't know it yet, but I'll deliver it the next time I see her.
